ICE
Over 60 Million PC's were sold in North America last year. Less than
40% of those were recognizable "name brands". The vast majority of PC's
sold, (over 60%), were "no name brand" clones. There is a powerful and
compelling reason for the dominance of clone computer systems. The "big
name brand guys" design their machines to become obsolete within 1 year
of manufacture. They accomplish this by designing the motherboard in
nonstandard sizes, and using proprietary parts and connectors. This
prevents most third party upgrades, and forces you to deal with their
authorized service centers when you need out of warranty service. You
will usually be charged a lot more than you should, since they are the
ONLY supplier for many of their parts.
You
always run the risk that you won't get "local" service or support from
the "big brand name guys". Most of them farm out their warranty service
to independent companies who represent many "big name brand" computer
makers. These independent companies stock NO replacement parts, which
ties up customers for days, weeks or months waiting for the warranty
work to be completed. Worse yet, they may go completely out of
business, leaving you stranded!
Our ICE
Computer systems contain NO proprietary parts. Upgrades and repairs can
be performed by any PC service department using commonly available
parts. All of our computer systems have a minimum of 5 external drive
bays, 3 internal drive bays, 4 expansion slots, 4 USB 2.0 ports, and at
least a 320 watt approved power supply. These things insure that you
will have the capacity to grow in the future. Instead of building in
obsolescence, we expect our customers to be using their ICE Computers
for at least 3 years.
All ICE
Computer systems come with LOCAL service
and support. Your support phone call won't be
routed to India when you call ICE with a question! Most service
issues, (whether in or out of warranty), can be accomplished in a
matter of hours, not days or weeks. Local service keeps your downtime
to a minimum.
ICE
Computing has NO commissioned salespersons', whose advice is based on
the size of their commission check. Neither do we have unknowledgeable
clerks, who will mislead customers through ignorance. At ICE, our
advice is FREE, and worth every penny that you paid for it!
